American Brain Tumor Association Elects Four New Board Members
CHICAGO, Feb. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) is pleased to announce the election of four new members to its Board of Directors. The election, which took place at the organization’s board meeting in January, brings the number of ABTA directors to thirteen.

Bob Kruchten, of Mount Prospect, IL, is a sales manager at Extreme Reach, a leading advertising technology company. He has strong skills in communications and fundraising, and has been advocating for the ABTA for 19 years in tribute to his best friend, Paul Fabbri, who lost his 10-year battle with GBM in 1998. Kruchten accepted the ABTA’s Joel A. Gingras Jr. Award in 2015 on behalf of the Paul Fabbri Memorial Fund.
Jacqueline M. Lemke, of Fishers, IN, brings demonstrated financial acumen and leadership skills to the ABTA Board. She has extensive experience as a Global CFO with the DuPont Company, Motorola, Inc. and Remy International, Inc. and most recently, led a drug discovery research company, Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. (BASi), as the president and CEO. Lemke has been using the ABTA as an educational resource since her husband’s brain tumor diagnosis 13 years ago.
Mindee J. Plugues, of Los Angeles, CA, is vice president, marketing for the Applebee’s brand and brings skills including brand strategy, executive leadership, and marketing to the board. Plugues has been an ABTA donor since April 2001, following her father’s passing from GBM. She is also a former member of the ABTA endurance program, Team Breakthrough.
Brandon Starkoff, of Glenview, IL, is vice president, head of industry at xAd Inc. and brings several years of marketing and data analysis experience to his role on the ABTA board. Starkoff is a 5-year brain tumor survivor and has founded and organized the Cater To The Cure fundraiser benefitting the ABTA for the past four years. This event raises money for Joggin’ for Jill, an ABTA Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Chicago 5K fundraising team.
